Peter Stuart
Chief Builder & Owner
Peter began Sterling Builders in 2012 with the vision of changing the residential construction industry. Born and raised in Maine, Peter developed his skills of building furniture, boats and restoring old buildings at a young age. While attending the University of Denver, he started in mechanical engineering then found true passion in construction and real estate. Driven by passion of building and developing with the future in mind, Peter now takes a scientific approach. Peter is a Certified Passive House Builder striving to be at the forefront of innovation as it happens. Peter has lived in Denver for over 12 years, is a husband, and father of 3 young children.
janna Beecher
Executive Assistant
Janna is involved in the day-to-day business operations at Sterling Builders. She is a Certified General Appraiser and loves being a part of the construction process. She is originally from Spokane, Washington and has lived in Colorado for the last 10 years. When she's not working, she enjoys exploring the different mountain towns with her husband and 3 kids.
Eric Harnisch
Project Lead
Eric has worked in the construction industry for the last 20 years and is a jack of all trades. He has experience with framing, tile, drywall, plumbing, shingle roofs, restoration and mold remediation, window and door install, as well as finished carpentry. He is HVAC certified with 3 EPA certifications, commercial and residential electrical certifications and solar certifications. Eric was born and raised in Arizona. He enjoys being with his kids and beautiful woman, as well as being in nature and enjoying God's beautiful creations.
Josh mccain
Project Lead
Josh has been in the construction industry for nearly a decade and holds a degree in Civil Engineering. At Sterling Builders he is involved in the rough carpentry phase: excavation, foundations, lumber and steel framing, and structural steel work. Josh leads by example and is not afraid to get his hands dirty doing the toughest jobs. He is originally from Spokane, Washington, and in his free time he enjoys biking, skiing and camping.
Charlie williams
Project Lead
Charlie has 15 years of experience in the residential construction industry. In the last 5 years, he has focused on becoming a skilled carpenter and building homes from start to finish. He’s regularly operating heavy equipment, managing all aspects of ground-up construction on-site, and learning about cutting-edge building science. Charlie is originally from the Carolina's and when he’s not at work, you can find him shredding up all the ski resorts, retrieving with his Labrador Retriever (Snooks), or dominating on the pickleball court.
Micah borger
Master Finish Carpenter
Micah is a finish carpenter who oversees our custom woodworking projects. His job includes building high-end custom cabinets and being involved in all aspects of woodworking and millwork (both fabrication and installation). He began his career in a small start-up custom cabinet shop in Atlanta and has honed his skills over the last decade. Micah is originally from Pennsylvania and his free time is spent rock climbing locally and all over the country.
Kevin dogra
Finish Carpenter
Kevin spent the last 10 years working in the construction industry in Hawaii building luxury custom homes. He has been involved in all aspects of construction and has an expertise in finish carpentry. His work for Sterling Builders includes constructing high-end custom cabinets, as well as being involved in millwork and woodworking (both fabrication and installation). Kevin is originally from Arizona and enjoys golfing, hiking, and spending time with his beautiful wife and precious cat.
Michael Nash
Lead Framer
Michael has spent the last 10 years in the construction industry gaining invaluable experience in various aspects of construction. He specializes in commercial and residential framing and trim work. At Sterling Builders he is our Lead Framer. Michael is a Colorado native and in his free time he enjoys hiking, skiing and being with his wife and 2 year old son.
Joe Lonsdale
Carpenter
Joe is originally from Cape Cod, MA. He has worked with his hands his whole life and finds construction to be the most satisfying work. He likes a tangible finish product and something he can be proud of. He's always up for learning something new, and has built anything from yachts to high-end custom homes. He specializes in carpentry (finish, trim, framing, etc.). When he's not working, he enjoys skiing, hiking, camping, climbing, and going to concerts.
ty Kolterman
Carpenter
Ty started working in the construction industry in high school, where he spent his summers doing remodels and home additions. He loves being a part of the building process and the satisfaction of getting things done. At Sterling Builders, he is mainly involved in dirt work, foundations and framing. Ty is originally from Clay Center, KS, and he enjoys dirt biking, hunting, fishing and camping in his free time.
Brendan miller
Carpenter
Brendan has been around construction his whole life, as his father is a general contractor/carpenter. He has experience in masonry, framing, flooring, painting, landscaping and finish carpentry. Brendan currently does framing, door installation, painting and tile work for Sterling Builders. He is originally from Massachusetts and enjoys being outdoors, hiking, skiing, and camping, as well as going to the gym and playing the guitar.
